merge of MLI patches

The MetroLink Openmotif tarball contains over 40 bugfixes which are not in the standard tarball. Is anyone at ICS attempting to diff the MLI tarball against the standard one and extract those differences for as a patch. The Imakefile differences make it a tad confusing. However I have been told by Jim Burmeister of MetroLink that they intend to submit their fixes for inclusion in the standard openmotif cvs but don`t have the time to create a patch yet. However these fixes appear to be fair game for us to merge into the ICS srpms. I am only interested in doing so because MLI still is building their rpms in a non-traditional manner. They build openmotif, install it in a buildroot and then build a binary only rpm. Not quite what we want to be using since the source code is freely available now.

merge of MLI patches

Jack,

Quite frankly, I didn`t even know that they were providing the sources with their binaries. Given that they have been doing Linux Motif longer than anyone, it is a real class act for them to make them available in *any* form to help the community. But then Jim and Stuart are good guys, so I`m not surprised!

We should have an Open Motif CVS tree officially ready next week. (If you are a pioneer, it is actually already there under the Open Motif project. Be warned that we`re still getting things organized and building the process for bug submissions. If you have strong opinions on how things should be organized, now is the time!)

So if you want to take a first shot at it, please go for it! We would love the help! Getting this website fully operational has been *much* work than we ever expected and we still have to produce software that directly pays our salaries...
